The following restrictions and requirements apply:

• You may need to meet certain hardware and software requirements, such as an internet access service (this may incur a connection time charge), to redeem a Microsoft gift card to your Microsoft account and use that money at Microsoft shops.

• Credit denominated in a specific currency can only be added to a Microsoft account registered in the jurisdiction that recognises that currency as an official currency and can then only be used at participating shops available in the jurisdiction where the account is registered. Your account balance cannot be converted to another currency.

• Your Microsoft account balance cannot be transferred to another person or another Microsoft account.

• Microsoft may, from time to time and at its discretion, impose additional restrictions on account balances that may apply to your ability to redeem gift cards for balance or receive payments on your Microsoft account and use that money to make purchases at participating shops or purchase and send gift cards. We may impose additional restrictions on your ability to access and use your Microsoft account balance, or require you to complete a transaction with another payment option to prevent fraud or unauthorised use.
